Honorable Mentions: The Americans, Mr Robot and The Get Down

Yeah, an eclectic group isn’t it? And one of these shows got cancelled, but each of these dramas brought something above and beyond to the genre – and don’t even tell me Luke Cage shouldn’t be in there you fuckos. It was a fine piece of drama.

Lead Actress In A Drama

• Kylie Bunbury, Pitch
• Taraji P. Henson, Empire
• Mandy Moore, This Is Us
• Keri Russel, The Americans
• Ruth Negga, Preacher
• Melissa Benoist, Supergirl

Not only should Kylie be nominated but she should damn well win, but this is a kick as group of women.

Lead Actor In A Drama

• Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us
• Freddie Highmore, Bates Motel
• Mike Colter, Marvel’s Luke Cage
• Rami Malek, Mr Robot
• Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul
• Matthew Rhys, The Americans

This is the time to undo a grave injustice – give Freddie the damn award. I know Sterling is the stand out here, and I love him but he’s got plenty of years to jump on stage.
